A left-arm unorthodox spin bowler with a unique bowling action.
Paul Adams is a former South African left-arm spin bowler best known for his unique bowling action and his role in inspiring a generation of young cricketers. Born and raised in Grassy Park, Cape Town, he made his Test debut for South Africa at just 18 years old in 1995 and went on to become one of the country's most successful left-arm spinners.
Fondly known as "Gogga" by South Africans, Adams became internationally famous for his distinctive bowling action, which was memorably described as "Frog in a Blender." After retiring from playing, he built a successful coaching career and currently serves as Cricket South Africa's High Performance Spin Bowling Lead, helping to develop the country's next generation of spin bowlers.
Through coaching, grassroots development and the Paul Adams Foundation, he has dedicated himself to creating opportunities for young people from underserved communities. As a pioneer and role model, he continues to champion diversity, inclusion, education and sporting excellence, helping to shape the future of South African cricket.
